Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account: your name, email address and password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text).
• Billing: handled by Stripe. We receive your Stripe customer ID and subscription status, not your card number.
• What you put in the app: client names, client website domains, the questions you track, your agency name, logo link and report notes.
• Scan results: the AI assistants' answers to your questions and the sources they cited.
• Basic server logs: IP address and pages requested, kept for security and debugging.

Cookies

We use cookies only to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies.

How we use it

To run the scans, build your reports, bill your subscription, send account emails (such as password resets and "your report is ready"), and keep the Service secure. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Who else sees it

• AI providers - Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (ChatGPT) and Perplexity receive the questions you track, and the client name in the case of name-based questions, in order to answer them.
• Stripe processes payments.
• Google Workspace delivers our emails.
• Anyone you send a published report link to can read that report.

We share data with others only if the law requires it.

Where it is stored

On our server in Helsinki, Finland (Hetzner), and with the providers above.

How long we keep it

While your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account data within 30 days, except billing records we must keep for tax purposes.

Your choices

You can edit or archive your books at any time, and ask us for a copy of your data or to delete it by writing to admin@direct-me.org.

Changes

We will email you about material changes before they take effect.
